About Us
The College of Philomath Community Corporation (CPCC) is a non-profit organization started by local volunteers.
Our mission:
-To renovate the College of Philomath building in a historically sensitive way that preserves the building’s historic charm.
-To create a comfortable and vibrant community center that focuses on social and cultural programming for seniors.
-To provide space for a non-profit preschool and promote intergenerational interactions between children and seniors.
College of Philomath History
Philomath’s second college, the College of Philomath, was founded in 1889. Its existence reflects a doctrinal split, primarily pertaining to freemasonry and membership in secret societies, that created decades of debate within the national United Brethren Church.
Our Vision of the Future
We believe the College is a valuable asset for the community of Philomath, and can be revitalized to serve as a multi-functional residential and community space for senior citizens, education, and the broader community.
